onOne Software
There are so many products out there... and like camera accessories, software is easy to collect. Trying something for free before you buy is a great way to explore the product. onOne offers free trials as well as free versions of their software... as well as a host of free online webinars. And... (at least from my experience today)... They give you a discount code for a VERY generous discount at the end of the webinar.
Today, I also learned that in addition to a Photoshop plug-in, they also have one for Lightroom. SCORE!, lol

PINK BOOTS AND A MACHETE
Often described in the media as “a female Indiana Jones,” Mireya Mayor is not your typical scientist. Both as an anthropologist working in the jungles of Madagascar, and as a wildlife correspondent for National Geographic, this city girl and former Miami Dolphins cheerleader has found herself sleeping in a rain forest hammock amid poisonous snakes, being charged by gorillas, scaling rocky cliffs, and diving with great white sharks. As a two-time Emmy Award-nominated field correspondent for the National Geographic Channel, Mireya Mayor has reported to audiences worldwide on pertinent wildlife and habitat issues.

Publishing Photo Books with Blurb
At the January meeting we discussed publishing your own photo books with Blurb. While there are MANY companies out there that offer great products, this is one that several members had experience with. I have attached some of the videos we watched, and some we didn't get to. Blurb has many how-to videos online as well, that can instruct you on some of the more advanced features.
