Welcome Back
Where has the
summer gone? I hope all of you had a very
enjoyable summer and had lots of opportunities for photography. Welcome to our first club meeting after the
summer break!
The program
committee has been very busy lining up some great speakers and programs for
this year. Remember….the committee
always welcomes and encourages suggestions from the club members, so please let
them know of ideas you have for speakers, judges, field trips, etc. In addition, consider volunteering to give a
“mini-program” on a photo trip or photographic topic you are passionate
about. One of the benefits of being a
member of this camera club is that we learn from each other.

- Membership Dues –
Brian Schoenfish will be available to collect the annual member dues of
$25 before the meeting or during the break. Make checks payable to Johnson County
Camera Club.

two month summer break. Come

want to!!! : ) (See instructions below on how to format images
for submittal.)

Images for Show and
Tell
There is always a
possibility at all of our meetings (if time permits) for member images to be
shown and discussed. Please see the
information below regarding sizing of images.
All images should be sized for 1024 pixels on the
longest dimension and saved as jpeg.
Images should be renamed to include the artist’s last name in the first
characters of the title. Check your
image, if it looks blurry or pixilated (unintentionally), you may have started
with a low resolution or highly cropped image.
In this case, you may need to increase the setting in the resolution box
to improve the image; but be sure to retain 1024 on the longest side. Submit JPG files on a flash drive tagged with your
name. Drives will be returned
after the images have been loaded into the computer for projection.
2013-2014 Year End Photo Contest

nine subject categories to choose from with a maximum of two entries per
category allowed. Total submissions may
not exceed twelve images.
A
professional photographer will judge the contest with the results to be
presented and discussed at the June 2014 club meeting.
